About Snapchat Parents Desk

Snapchat Parents Desk is for parents and legal guardians who want clearer information about their minor children's use of Snapchat. It addresses practical concerns about privacy, communication, location sharing and interactions with unfamiliar accounts.

Our guides explain Snapchat features, parental privacy considerations and the possible role of monitoring software such as mSpy. We distinguish between information that app settings can control, information that monitoring tools may provide and issues that neither can resolve.

The aim is to help families and employers make responsible, informed decisions. Consent, transparency, proportionality and local legal requirements are central to our approach to device monitoring.

What you will find here

Snapchat Parents Desk publishes 5 guides about Snapchat monitoring for parents, among them Snap Map: Who Can See Your Teen's Location?, Quick Add Suggestions and Friend Requests From Strangers, Chat Settings for Teens: Who Can Contact Me.

Responsible use

mSpy is monitoring software meant for parents and guardians of minors and for employers who monitor company-owned devices with the employee's knowledge and consent. Monitoring another adult without their consent is illegal in many countries. Laws differ by country and state, so check the rules that apply to you before you install anything.

Talk openly with children about any monitoring in a way that suits their age, and give employees a written policy and notice before anything is monitored. Where a rule is unclear, ask a lawyer in your country.
